Wrexham health clubs get state-of-the-art treatment

Two health clubs in Wrexham have welcomed new advanced gyms after a £130,000 makeover.

The new equipment at Caia Park’s Queensway Stadium and Gwersyllt’s Gwyn Evans Leisure Centre was officially unveiled at both clubs on Friday 16th June. Freedom Leisure operates both Queensway and Gwyn Evans.

The refurbishments were made possible by Wrexham Council, after it secured funding from the Welsh Government. The Sports Facilities Capital Loan is designed to assist local governments in boosting activity in its region.

Manager for Freedom Leisure, Barry Baldam, said:

“The new equipment is a real asset and the new layout aims to be more accessible and more functional with a wider range of equipment to suit a wider range of people.”

Gwyn Evans was granted £50,000 by way of equipment, now installed in three separate areas of the gym. The first area features cardio equipment, including the world’s most advanced cardio machines, from TechnoGym Excite.

New advanced equipment has also been installed at Queensway Stadium, with the health club being given an £80,000 facelift.

After the significant investments, both health clubs will want to make their respective communities aware of the improvements that have been made. For that, they will likely turn to the print industry. There are plenty of opportunities for marketing material, with anything from leaflets to branded corporate gifts available.
