An ex-Eastenders star will be performing in a pantomime in Tunbridge Wells later this year.

Michael Greco, who played Beppe di Marco in the BBC soap, will appear in Aladdin as the villain Abanazar when the show is performed in front of audiences at the Assembly Hall Theatre.

Greco, who once attended The Guildford School of Acting, has no shortage of experience on the stage, with past performances including lead roles in About Alice, Kiss Me Kate, Much Ado About Nothing, Exposure, and Chicago.

Since departing Albert Square, Greco has appeared in reality shows Soap Star Superstar and Celebrity Love Island, as well as dramas Love Hurts and Chasing Shadows. He most recently joined BBC’s Casualty.

Aladdin will be in the hands of one of the biggest pantomime production companies in the county, UK Productions. The show follows the successful production from 2016, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

The company will waste little time in promoting the show employing the services of local print shops to produce banners and flyers, among other promotional materials.

Greco stated:

“I love entertaining people especially at Christmas time, and being the pantomime villain. Can’t wait to get booed and hissed at.”

The show will run from December 8th until January 3rd, 2018 at the Assembly Hall Theatre in Tunbridge Wells.
