Outdoor advertising company receives £1.85 financial boost

An outdoor advertising company has received financing of £1.85 million, The Drum recently revealed.

MediaCo Outdoor, based near Manchester, received the funding boost from Natwest Bank. This cash injection comes in the shape of a facility agreed between the company and the bank and brings a welcome capital investment to the business, showing a real faith in outdoor banner and poster advertising.

MediaCo Outdoor specialises in producing large-format outdoor printing that is often used to advertise sponsorship for major events. One of the most recent events that MediaCo created banners for was the Halford’s Tour Series, a cycling championship. MediaCo produced a number of outdoor materials using techniques like banner printing. Stoke-on-Trent, Peterborough and Oldham are all home to different legs of the Halford’s Tour Series, so the banners were displayed in towns throughout the country.

This will no doubt have renewed faith in large format printing is sure to give confidence to a number of smaller, local printers offering services like banner printing. This means that local businesses may follow in the footsteps of bigger national companies and turn to them for outdoor advertising that they may have felt was out of their reach with bigger printing companies like MediaCo Outdoor.

When asked to comment about the recent cash boost from Natwest, Mark Wardle, the managing director of MediaCo Outdoor told The Drum:

“As the business develops and secures new contracts access to working capital is essential. The facility we have agreed with NatWest gives us this capability.”
