Ruislip carer to run Ealing Half Marathon

Ollie Hart, a care team employee based in Ruislip, is training for the Ealing Half Marathon.

Hart is running to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society. At the age of 21, he is hoping to break the two hour barrier on the day. Newsletter printing in Ruislip Manor may be used to champion the achievements of staff in local businesses. Hart told the Ealing Times:

“Here at Home Instead, many of our clients are living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. We understand the importance of raising awareness of the condition in the hope that we create a more dementia-friendly place in which to live.”

According to Hart, training for the event is going particularly well. After work and at weekends, Hart has been getting stuck in and clocking up the mileage. He now has the capacity to go beyond his old limits and his overall health has improved. The event is scheduled for late September. He is really pleased at the prospect of participating in the run.

This is the sixth year in which the local event has been promoted. Thousands of runners will take part and many of them will raise money for a number of good causes. It has been estimated that up to 30,000 people could lend their vocal support and line the streets when the time comes.
