Ickenham Youth Football Club receives donation

Ickenham Youth Football Club recently obtained a £575 donation from Taylor Wimpey West London (TWWL).

The money from TWWL will enable the club to purchase fresh kit for one of its teams. If the Under 9s prosper, then the football club might use newsletter printing from Ruislip Manor to record progress.

Ben Burlikowski, a trustee at Ickenham, explained the value of the donation:

“Normally the club would fund new kit, so it makes a huge difference to us to have this support from Taylor Wimpey and it’s really helped out as the boys were starting to grow out of their old kits.”

The new clothing will feature the logo of Taylor Wimpey. It will be royal blue in colour which conforms to the existing club kit. It should serve the players well as they participate in the Harrow Youth Football League. Burlikowski stated that the expenditure on the kit should free up resources for coaching.

TWWL are likely to benefit from their investment as it should increase their connection with the community. Other businesses might wish to follow in their footsteps and get behind one of the teams in the local league. Ickenham is still seeking additional support.

One of the directors at TWWL, Emma Jones, made clear how happy she was with the donation. For her, the sponsorship should help to ensure the players keep feeling a real pride in the club they represent.
