Print exellence in Derbeshire

December 12, 2009 by

PrintWeek awards 2009 took place at The Grosvenor House in London on Monday October 19th. Derbeshire based Buxton Press scooped the prestigious PrintWeek Company of the Year Award which has been described as

the jewel in the crown of printing accolades

This latest award represents just one more achievement for Buxton Press, who have already received 14 national nominations and awards. The presentation evening was a formal dress, high profile event. The winners were selected by an expert panel of judges from the the printing industry world. Directors, Kirk Galloway and George Briddon stepped up to accept the trophy on behalf of Buxton Print.

Mr Galloway gave much praise to his colleagues

I am absolutely thrilled that Buxton has been recognised in this way: it’s a great and fitting testament to everyone who has worked so hard to get us to where we are today

As one of the countries leading magazine printers the company continued to promote Buxton as a centre of printing excellence when they exhibited at mediaPro 09 in November.

A company such as this would be an excellent place to begin a career in printing. Their client base continues to grow and new jobs do emerge. For example, Buxton Print were very recently looking to recruit a trainee printer and a trainee customer account handler. What an excellent start this would be for a young person looking to become part of the exciting and fast moving print buisiness. Perhaps interested candidates should check if vacancies have been filled.
