Business newspaper to be distributed via Preston Bus

The firm behind Preston Bus will help with the distribution of Business Lancashire.

Rotala Plc operates Preston Bus and the organisation initially agreed to showcase the Business Lancashire freesheet on the 280 route. However, many other routes will be used to promote the newspaper in the future. Marketing services in Preston could be appropriate for local enterprises that want to advertise their products using a variety of channels.

The head of operations at Rotala Plc, Tom Calderbank, told Business Lancashire:

“Preston Bus aims to continually bring new benefits to our passengers during their travel experience. I am certain that this new free newspaper will be greatly appreciated.”

The headquarters of Rotala Plc is located within Birmingham. However, the firm has got sites in Atherton, Bristol, Heathrow Airport and Preston. The business is responsible for about 100 Preston-based vehicles. This means that hundreds of passengers could end up reading Business Lancashire on a regular basis. A gradual roll out of the newspaper has been planned.

The Samuel James Group (SJG) is based within Preston and is a publisher of newspapers and magazines. A director at SJG, Sam Whitear, has confirmed that he is pleased about the deal involving Business Lancashire and Preston Bus. He added that he was really confident that passengers would like to read the freesheet on their journeys.
