Motor club in Potters Bar hosts event

The Green Belt Motor Club (GBMC) from Potters Bar recently held an awards night.

The annual awards of the GBMC were shared out over the course of a special dinner. Corporate gifts from Potters Bar may be used by event organisers. The dinner hosted by the GBMC was informal in nature.

David Hughes, the secretary of the GBMC, was honoured at the occasion. His prize was recognition for his contribution to The Wayfarer, which is a monthly magazine connected with the club.

The performances of Niall Moroney were recognised by the club. Moroney triumphed at a rally in Wethersfield and he also took second place in a specific championship. Moroney comes from Welham Green.

Martyn Andrews was the recipient of an accolade on the night. Andrews managed to come second in a championship based on stages with multiple venues. He has been driving a Subaru vehicle at various meetings.

The motor club meets regularly on Wednesdays in the Old Owens Sports Club. Its impressive calendar of social events does not mean that its members lack the opportunity to participate in motor sports. Those individuals who do not aspire to compete can get involved by serving as a marshal. The Old Owens Sports Club is located within Potters Bar, but rally schools may be held in Northaw and elsewhere.
