Three Dorset beaches named in UK’s top ten by holidaymakers

Three beaches in the Dorset region have been hailed as being amongst the top ten beaches in the whole of Britain in a recent poll by travel website TripAdvisor. Visitors to the TripAdvisor website voted for their favourite UK beach and the poll was topped by St. Ives and Newquay, with Bournemouth ranking in third place. The other two Dorset beaches named in the top ten were Weymouth and Swanage. This news will come as a real boost to the Dorset tourist board and is a welcome poll for UK tourism in general, with many UK families now choosing to forego holidays abroad in favour of ‘staycationing’ or holidaying in the UK because of the current uncertain economic climate. People are on the lookout for ways to save money without having to compromise on the elements that make a holiday special, such as good food, great entertainment and fantastic beaches.

Local tourism organisations around Bournemouth may take these findings as a green light to better promote local seaside resorts by enlisting the services of local brochure printers. Poole and Bournemouth are both home to several local businesses which would benefit from an increase in the number of tourists to the area, especially as the results of this TripAdvisor poll have arrived right before the start of the main holiday season. By using local brochure printers in the Poole region, holiday company operators and local tourism offices can capitalise on this good news by producing marketing literature to draw visitors to the region before the main summer holiday season kicks in.
