Poster campaign displays local heroes

Insurance giant, Aviva, has launched a marketing campaign entitled “Tell us your story”, aiming to engage their consumers via association with their consumers’ lifestyles.

Created by AMV BBDO, Aviva’s campaign will use real life stories to try to demonstrate how Aviva has been committed to their customers over the past 12 months. Aviva is giving their consumers an opportunity to recognise those in their community who have made a positive impact on lives or the local area within the last year. A dedicated website will be available for customers to write their stories or nominate others such as ‘local heroes’. Visitors to the site will vote on the story that resonates with them most and Aviva will award prizes weekly to the winners, before an overall winner is decided on by a celebrity judging panel and a prize given worth a reported £10,000.

Putting people at the heart of their campaign is to try to reflect that the customer is at the heart of what Aviva does and that they recognise what is important to customers.

Supported by online, PR activity and some print and direct marketing, a poster campaign will run in June across 700 outdoor advertising sites featuring real customer stories on their posters. Posters are a great way to resonate with a local community as they are part of the fabric of people’s every day journeys.
