Poole’s NHS Trust in search for PR agency

The Poole Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has announced that they are looking for an agency to handle their public relations.

Public relations are incredibly important for public sector organisations like the NHS as communication needs to be tailored to different audiences, be it patients, local communities or the media. There are several successful public relations and advertising campaigns that have been run by agencies on behalf of the public sector. For example, the ‘Catch it, bin it, kill it’ campaign was created by The Red Consultancy PR agency for the department of health and this involved a wide-scale communications drive that involved TV advertising, radio spots and poster printing.

Poole Hospital NHS Foundation Trust will be expected to put the PR contract out to tender, with up to eight agencies vying for the business. This contract is not only a long-term and sustainable one, starting at three years in length, but it is also a good opportunity for PR agencies who are experienced in the public sector to come forward and add another client to their roster.

Poole Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has received the prestigious accolade from the Healthcare Excellence and Leadership Awards of being the best hospital for patient experience last year. This makes the hospital trust an attractive prospective client to any PR agencies who may be thinking of working with the trust.

Expressions of interest to take part in the tender for the PR contract are expected to be received by 19th December.
