Halloween event in Paisley promises thrills

Preparations are now underway for this year’s Halloween Festival in Paisley and already the local council is promising that it will be a frightfully good time.

The plan is for the event to be the biggest and spookiest yet, with the grand climax set to see 50 youngsters from the town take to the skies for an aerial spectacular. The annual festival has the backing of additional funding this time, as part of the Year of Young People, which will enable it to hit new levels of Halloween horror.

Among the planned attractions are a parade through the centre of Paisley by young people clad in creepy costumes, as well as pieces of Halloween-themed art that they have made. There will also be live shows by the likes of LED drum troupe Spark!

The Friday night will centre on a Halloween Ball, while Saturday will feature the aerial Flying Witches show. Promotional posters for this sort of event often use graphic design services from local firms. Iain Nicolson from the council told the Daily Record:

“The programme for this year is the biggest and most ambitious yet – and will see two days of entertainment across the town centre, almost all of which will again be free.”

The festival is due to take place on the 26th and 27th of October, with thousands expected to attend.
