Nottingham musicians can now make use of a new music and video recording facility that has recently opened in the city.

The Doghouse recording studio is a project led by Baz Barrett, a music professional who has worked with big name bands for several years. He is now offering bands the chance to use facilities that are, at present, unparalleled in Nottingham. The Doghouse features two state-of-the-art recording studios, a production suite for music videos and even a screen printing studio so that bands can create their own merchandise. The DIY spirit is very much alive in The Doghouse and so many bands who use its facilities will continue to use local companies to promote their shows using services like flyer printing in Nottingham.

At the moment, the studio focuses largely on punk and metal bands, but Baz Barrett is open to anyone approaching him to use the studio. He told the This is Nottingham website that:

“There is a lot of talent in Nottingham but it gets missed. I want to help new talent get noticed.”

Baz’s vision is to help more acts to make the most of their talent with the guidance of experts in the music industry. The DIY music scene has thrived for several years in the area, with many bands using local poster printing companies in Nottingham to promote their own gigs and concerts. With the help of The Doghouse recording studios, many bands will be able to progress their dream of being professional musicians.
