Newport Marathon to be held next year

The Newport Marathon is set to take place in May next year following the success of this year’s event.

This year’s edition of the run was a declared a success as around 6,000 people participated in the marathon, while a 10-kilometre race attracted around 4,000 runners and approximately 30,000 supporters converged on Newport. Print shops within Newport can be useful for those engaged in event management.

The winners of the Newport Wales Marathon in 2018 broke personal bests. James Carpenter, of Neath Harriers, had never won a competitive race before which demonstrates the scale of his personal achievement. Natasha Cockram beat her previous best time for a marathon by around five minutes. She had struggled with injuries prior to the race but this did not stop her from outperforming the rest of the field with confidence.

A minor problem associated with congestion did not spoil the big day. People can already register to take part in the event of 2019. Early marathon entrants can obtain a ticket for £45. This is cheaper than a general entry ticket. A runner who is affiliated to Welsh Athletics can make a small saving on this special price.

However, the early bird tickets shall only be on sale until the end of the month. People should be aware that tickets were snapped up quickly, meaning that athletes should consider a swift purchase to avoid disappointment.
