Manchester to welcome FD Surgery

A full day of education, debating, and networking, aimed at supporting SME finance directors, will be making its way to the Renaissance Manchester City Centre Hotel on 2nd November.

The conference was developed to identify and resolve minor issues facing FDs in their daily business lives.

Real Business, the popular website for UK SMEs, is hosting the event, which aims to provide expert advice for FDs looking to improve their bottom line. Amy Carroll, Real Business events director, said that FDs are responsible for IT, HR, and everything in between. She added:

“It is a rewarding role that puts the FD in the driving seat. But it can also be a lonely and stressful existence, where support from others who have ‘been there and done that’ can be hard to find. FD Surgery provides just that.”

Chas Howes, ex Superdry CFO, will be taking part in the debate. Howes will be talking about the firm’s rise to fame from a clothing stall to a £750m international brand.

The London event has seen over 200 FDs in attendance for the last three years.

Events such as this one often turn to local print shops to provide them with banners, flyers and posters in order to brand the venue on the day of the event and to promote it to the public.
