Local singer Hannah Beighton is keen to break into the music industry and will showcase her talent in a show at the new o2 Academy in Leicester.

Hannah Beighton, or Hannah B as she is known on stage, has been honing her talents as a singer and songwriter for years. At the tender age of 21, she is looking for her big break and has already tasted success supporting James Morrison and being featured on the BBC’s introducing radio programme.

Hannah is from Kimcote near Lutterworth and she acknowledges that in today’s music industry, it is not just a great voice that will gain fame and recognition. Speaking to the Lutterworth Mail newspaper, Hannah said:

“These days nobody will just come and sign you up because you’re a good singer, you need to show them you can build a buzz”.

Building a buzz and creating a following can be done in a number of ways and the internet plays a large part in this, with social media being an increasingly large part of our everyday lives. However, there is still demand for more traditional ways of promoting bands and live music, such as flyer printing. Lutterworth-based bands and acts often embark upon a programme of self-promotion using local printing companies in Lutterworth to create flyers and posters.

By combining a sound social media strategy with tried-and-tested methods of promotion, Hannah B looks set to take the Leicester o2 Academy by storm when she plays her concert on 1st July. Tickets are available from the venue’s website.
