Liverpool agency to work on promotional material for Alder Hey hospital

Liverpool agency USP Creative was recently chosen to produce promotional material for an event to support Liverpool’s Alder Hey Children’s hospital.

The event was Liverpool Alder Hey’s fundraiser, The Clothes Throw. This fashion event ran in conjunction with eBay and Liverpool One shopping centre. It originally started off as a simple charity auction but has since grown into a star-studded fashion affair with celebrities such as Nicola Roberts from Girls Aloud and supermodel Kate Moss getting involved.

The team at USP were engaged by the event’s organisers to create a look and feel for The Clothes Throw brand as well as being asked to design and produce promotional collateral for the launch of the event. Because The Clothes Throw is a vibrant and young fashion event as well as a fundraiser, the branding and the marketing literature that supported it needed to be edgy and fun as well as appealing to the target audience. The campaign was supported by a new website, brand identity, poster and flyer printing.

Liverpool One held the event in October 2011 and raised over £50,000. The team behind the event are already looking forward to working on the next Clothes Throw. The head of PR and fundraising for Alder Hey hospital, Chris Done, commented on the event’s branding saying:

“We are delighted that USP have supported our Clothes Throw event for the 3rd year in succession. The quality of their creative concepts and the enthusiasm with which they deliver are central to the success of the campaign which this year raised over £50,000 for Alder Hey Imagine Appeal.”
