Cumbernauld 10k Run

This weekend saw the annual Cumbernauld 10k run take place and leave from Broadwood Stadium. 1100 runners signed up this year making it the most successful year to date. The run which raises money for Cumbernauld based charity Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland was sold out for the first time ever.

Minuteman Press representative Dave Watson and his brother Graham Watson took part in the event for the 3rd year running and gave a glowing report of this year’s event saying “every year the event gets better and better. The organizers put on a fantastic event, but the best thing is the support from the local public. They come out in their droves and give great encouragement to every single runner taking part”.

The event which also saw children from primaries 5-7 take part in the 1k run as well as a 3krun, a 400m dash and a Victory Mile Walk.

Cumbernauld 10k Fast Approaching
