King’s Lynn to welcome 24-hr fitness centre

Those looking to get in shape, or who are just addicted to fitness, will be able to work out at any time, day or night, when Kings Lynn introduces its very first 24-hr gym in September.

Hardwick Road’s St Hilary Trade Park will welcome Anytime Fitness Club, with development work on two individual units scheduled to start at the beginning of August. The new firm, which has reached franchise status, has created five jobs already, with two new roles planned when the fitness centre is open.

In the last three weeks, the centre’s general manager Joe Racey, along with his personnel, have been operating out of a shop based on Norfolk Street where they have been marketing the gym. Racey said:

“There has been a lot of interest and a big uptake on a special discount for the first 100 members. People seem interested in the fact that it’s a 24-hour facility. It means that shift workers, for example, could go to the gym at midnight and work out in a virtual class.”

The club will be wanting to retain momentum in terms of promotion until it reaches a membership level to sustain the business. There are a number of printers in the area in a position to help it, with services such as full colour printing and customised stationery on offer.
