Awards success for Kilmarnock companies

The business community in Kilmarnock has received a major vote of confidence after no fewer than six of the town’s small businesses picked up prizes at a recent awards ceremony.

Pretty Little Parlour, Flowers by Karen and Cove Boutique all scooped big awards during the prestigious Ayrshire Retail Business Awards night, winning best service team, best florist and best fashion boutique respectively. What’s more, this was only half the story for Kilmarnock companies on the evening.

Turnbull’s Tyres, the Hair Studio and Nicola’s Pantry also picked up awards, claiming the consumers’ gong, best Kilmarnock business and best takeaway respectively. Overall, it made for a ringing endorsement of the town’s small business community – and one street in particular.

Of the six firms to win awards at the ceremony, which took place within Ayr Racecourse’s Princess Royal Suite, four of them are based in Bank Street.

Speaking to the Daily Record, Sarah Fletcher from the Hair Studio said:

“We are still in shock. We would just like to congratulate every other business who made it to the final and say a massive thank you to all clients old and new for their continued support.”

Those companies based within the town have always got the option of calling on other local businesses that offer services like business card printing, to help them ensure they have the tools needed to succeed.
