Lockdown Festival takes shape in Exeter

Plans for Exeter’s Lockdown Festival have progressed with the confirmation of a headline act.

Fatboy Slim is going to be the headline act at this year’s festival, which will take place in September. He will join the likes of Dizzee Rascal and Gorgon City on the main stage. Flyer printing from Exeter may be used to promote the various contributors to the event. Powderham Castle will be the venue for the thousands of fans who are likely to attend.

Organiser Steve Haywood told Devon Live:

“All of the organisers are thrilled to be announcing that Fat Boy Slim will be performing at this year’s Lockdown Festival. It is going to be awesome.”

Fatboy Slim made a big impact with a string of hits in the 1990s. These included tracks such as ‘Praise You’, ‘The Rockafeller Skank’ and ‘Right Here, Right Now.’ Before evolving into Fatboy Slim, Norman Cook was a bass guitarist for a rock band. A wide range of acts have been booked this year, including Basement Jaxx, AJ Tracey and Example. Big Narstie, Jax Jones and Chase are also scheduled to perform.

Last year, Sigma, Status and Krept graced the large stage on the Saturday. The following day saw performances from Stormzy, Netsky and DJ Rudimental. Tickets for the festival are now on sale. It is possible to purchase them online while they remain available.
