Space adventure to be offered to youngsters in Edinburgh

Small children living in Edinburgh are set to have the chance to experience an out of this world adventure next year, when a popular event returns with a space theme.

The Teeny Tiny Toddler Fest is an annual event that is hosted by Camera Obscura and is aimed at kids aged five years and younger. This time around, the event will be focusing on outer space and children will be able to find out about aliens, astronauts, stars and galaxies via a mix of interactive shows and workshops.

It will be the most spectacular version of the festival yet and Camera Obscura is working with The Young Engineers, a group that provides engineering and science fun for youngsters. Mess Around Edinburgh will supply multi-sensory play groups.

There will also be the chance to explore a giant cell using UV torches, a cloud factory and kaleidoscopes that can be crawled through. Events of this sort often use banner printing so they have exciting and colourful decorations for their wall spaces.

Speaking to Edinburgh Live, Lindsey Cotter, the coordinator, said:

“We are delighted to be able to offer something special for our smallest visitors and hope that they love this year’s event as much as the last.”

The festival will be taking place between 5th and 11th January.
