Edinburgh businesses benefit from free stationery

Stationery printers in Edinburgh will have been busy in recent weeks as the stationery company Black n’ Red launches a burst of experiential activity to get their brand into the hands of their target consumers.

The company, Black n’ Red, has printed thousands of their notebooks to be distributed in Edinburgh as part of a wider marketing strategy. The experiential activity will ensure that consumers physically experience the brand and what it is all about. This activity, to be tested in Edinburgh, forms part of Black n’ Red’s wider advertising campaign which is due to roll out over the next three months using impactful outdoor advertising formats such as large billboards and taxi advertising, as well as press inserts. The company is also looking at branding the Metro newspaper with a front wrap over the publication.

Manchester based agency, Momentum, has developed the campaign for the brand and will co-ordinate the Edinburgh distribution activity. Up to 10,000 notebooks, as well as Black n’ Red diaries, are to be handed out to consumers around Edinburgh in Festival Square and the Omni Centre in conjunction with the Business 7 publication.

Edinburgh was selected as the test city due to the fact that it is home to a concentration of a wide range of professional companies from various sectors across legal, creative and financial. If the distribution activity is a success in Edinburgh then it is hoped that this opportunity to put the brand into the hands of the audience will be rolled out into other areas around the country.
