Schools event to be held at bank in Edgware

A special workshop focused on arts and crafts with the intention of helping children get ready for the new school year is set to be held at a bank in Edgware.

Metro Bank, which is located in The Mall, will be among 57 branches across the country that host this crafting event and everyone is invited to come along and give it a try. Activities will include the opportunity for kids to make a customised pencil case for use when they start back at school.

As well as crafting activities, the mascot for the bank will be there handing out sweets and other gifts for the children. The event is set to last for four hours, between 12pm and 4pm.

There is already a link between the bank and local schools, as it provides them with free classes on money matters via a programme called Money Zone. Iain Kirkpatrick from Metro Bank told Times Series:

“This is our very first back-to-school event which we hope will get kids ready and excited for the beginning of the term. So, put your creative hat on and pop in-store for some arts and crafts fun, as well as a great family day out.”

The event will be taking place on 19th August and events such as this often bring promotional pens along as corporate gifts.
