Dunfermline gig for comic Davies

One of the most popular stand-up comedians in the UK is set to visit Dunfermline for a one night stand later this year, with a gig pencilled in at the town’s Carnegie Hall venue.

Alan Davies has become known throughout the country for his starring role in the hit television series Jonathan Creek, as well as his regular appearances on panel show QI. He has also found success as a writer, but his first love has always been live comedy and his show at Carnegie Hall is sure to attract comedy fans living in Dunfermline.

Although this has taken a back seat to acting over the last few years, Davies brought a decade long spell away from the stage to an end five years ago, with the successful ‘Life is Pain’ tour. He then followed that up with the show ‘Little Victories’ the next year, which was another sell out triumph.

His career got its big break back in 1991, when his brand of observational comedy saw him pick up the award for Best Young Comic from Time Out magazine and he has remained popular ever since. He will be hitting Dunfermline through the That’s Fife! Comedy Festival, alongside the likes of Russell Kane.

The show will take place on 14th April and printers that provide leaflets may well be used to help promote it.
