South Birmingham PR agency gains recognition

November 25, 2017 by

WPR, which is based in south Birmingham, has triumphed at a regional awards ceremony.

Located within Edgbaston, WPR outperformed the competition at the Midlands PRide Awards (MPA). The Chartered Institute of Public Relations hosted the ceremony. Newsletter printing from south Birmingham may be used by companies that want to record their achievements.

WPR has grown by almost 50% during the course of the last three years. Jane Ainsworth, WPR’s managing director, told the Birmingham Post:

“In an industry that is often perceived as London-centric, it’s heartening to see that Midlands and Birmingham PR firms are consistently delivering high-impact campaigns for some of Britain’s best-known brands. With major organisations relocating to Birmingham, I can only see this trend continuing.”

WPR received gold awards in several categories as a result of its efforts. It was praised for its corporate strategy and was singled out for its healthcare campaign and for its handling of media relations. Meanwhile, it won silver for a STEM campaign.

Other Birmingham-based agencies did well at the awards. In particular, the achievements of One Black Bear (OBB) and Story Comms were recognised. Story Comms is located within the city centre, while OBB is based at Digbeth.

The founder of Story Comms, managing director Amanda Lowe, was enthusiastic about the recognition received by the organisation. She expressed her faith in the region and underlined her passion for communications.
