Alexandria Based Brewery Wins Several Awards

An Alexandria based brewery wins several awards including best beer in Britain.  Euan and Fiona MacEachern, who founded the Alexandria-based brewery said “It still has not sunk in. I’m absolutely gobsmacked. It’s the top brewing award in the UK, the highest accolade.”

The win was announced at the Society of Independent Brewers’ (SIBA) National Beer Awards on Wednesday, March 16.   Loch Lomond Brewery were named overall champions for its Southern Summit 4.0 APV, as well as taking gold in the best beers and pale ales category.  A second drink produced by the brewery, Silkie Stout, took a gold in the Keg Porters, Stouts, Old Ales, Strong Milds & Strong Brown Ales category and a bronze in the Porters, Stouts, Old Ales, Strong Milds & Strong Brown Ales category.  The brewery had been named the winners of the regional awards at the end of 2015.

The company set up shop in Alexandria in 2011, and Euan said to be named the best in Britain after four-and-a-half years was “incredible.”

Companies like Loch Lomond Brewery can benefit from using local printers to produce flyers and brochures detailing their products.
