West Midlands entrepreneur launches women’s business networking club

July 14, 2011 by

A networking club for business women in the West Midlands launched last month and due to the success of its first session looks set to continue in future.

The networking group, called ‘Ladies That Latte’ is based at Café Blend on Navigation Street in Birmingham, but is open to women from across Coventry and the West Midlands too. The first session featured a talk and production demonstrations from Clarins Cosmetics and the second session, which was held yesterday on 13th July, centred on the topic of social media.

Ladies That Latte is the brainchild of Sophie Hind from Café Blend, who said:

“As a woman and a business owner (and one that enjoys a latte or two), I found it was only fitting to create a network for like-minded women.”

The aim is to provide an environment where women can share ideas and exchange notes, contacts and even exchange digital business cards. Coventry, Birmingham and the surrounding regions have always been home to a number of entrepreneurially-minded women so bringing them together in an informal and relaxed atmosphere such as Café Blend should benefit the local economy as good ideas and contacts spring out of the sessions.

Women who are interested in attending the event may choose to use a local printing company for business card printing in Coventry or Birmingham to ensure they are fully prepared for the networking session.

Ladies That Latte sessions cost £10, which includes a coffee and a cake and more information can be found on the Café Blend website.
