BPIF finance conference in Coventry

February 5, 2010 by

The British Printing Industries Federation (BPIF) is holding its finance conference in Coventry. The conference is being held on Tuesday 2nd February at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.

The event should attract all types of print companies in Coventry and beyond, from general printers of business cards and stationery through to print management firms. The conference will be important for all federation members. The state of finance in the printing industry and future financing solutions will be the main themes being addressed at the conference.

There will be a range of speakers. Mr. Nicholas Young, of finance broker Beer & Young, will discuss ways of offering equity to private investors for print companies looking to grow following recession. Companies are all too aware how difficult it is to raise finance through the traditional bank and asset-based routes in the present climate. Mr. Young’s talk will be entitled ‘Accessing alternative funding and making it work for you’.

Other speakers will include Trevor Crawford, director of Ipex 2010, Anthony Hilton, financial editor of the Evening Standard, Conor Donnelly, Paragon Group chairman, Andrew Scrimgeour, Managing director of AJS, Roger Lindop, chief executive Print People Group, Bill Joss, Cats Solutions chairman and several other high profile speakers.

This should prove to be an important conference for both small and large companies who are federation members. If alternative routes to finance can be found this may at least ensure the survival of some print companies in Coventry, and the UK.
