Printing companies in Coatbridge, Lanarkshire, involved in a lot of brochure printing always aim to deliver a quality product. It would be interesting for them to look at the work of London based Chapter Press.

The company were voted Brochure Printer of the Year 2009 by Print Week. Competition for this prestigious accolade was hot. There were many high grade entries in the brochure printing category.

Judges highlighted:

consistent planning and an exceptional understanding of the industry

Their view was that the company had taken its brochure printing to a higher level. Four jobs were submitted for the judge’s scrutiny and they were impressed by the complete attention to detail, evident in all four jobs. Judges were very impressed

particularly in pre-press and ink use

One of the brochures submitted was about the launch of a new clothing range. The specification stated that it must have an old film grainy look. This was achieved by manually applying colour profiling to the photographic images. The design people then applied the grain. Then, in order to maintain the integrity of the original, the printing plates were run with a linear profile. They were then printed using their special high dry inks.

The results were clearly impressive. If you are a print company in Coatbridge striving to make quality improvements, then these techniques have proved that this is the way to achieve such quality.

Clients will surely be delighted with the results.
