Health and safety event in Coatbridge

Health and safety experts, Medway Safety, have organised an event which will take place on Wednesday 13th January 2010 at the HSS Supercentre in Coatbridge.

They call it the Silica Awareness Event which will be part of their Working Well Together series. The event is organised in conjunction with HSS Hire, who are providing a breakfast butty, as well as tea and coffee, for attendees.

The event deals with health and safety issues that will concern small companies, for example, typical small printing companies in Coatbridge.

The Health and Safety Executive will talk about Silica Awareness and issues like Working at Heights, Asbestos Awareness and Manual Handling. After the event, firms will be invited to enrol onto Medway’s contact list for future events.

Attendees will also be able to take away information packs on a range of health and safety issues that will concern small companies.

Health and Safety issues have a much higher profile today. Environmental awareness, the advent of ‘no-win no-fee’ accident lawyers and the wish to create a better work place are amongst some of the reasons. Health and Safety accreditations are now expected by many bodies putting work out to tender.

For example, local authority printing contracts require accreditations from print companies in order to be allowed to bid. If you are a printing company in Coatbridge it could be very worth while to attend the event, especially if you are seeking to improve your workplace environment.

The bacon butty will go down well too.
