Clapham to host Winterville event

November 18, 2017 by

Those living in the Clapham area are set to be offered a unique opportunity to get into the festive spirit during the weeks leading up to Christmas, as an event called Winterville hits the city.

The event is being described by organisers as an alternative Christmas for the capital and it will be located on Clapham Common. It is planned to last for a period of five weeks and will provide locals with a truly unique way of launching the festive celebrations for 2017.

The masterminds behind Street Feast – a street food attraction based in a number of locations around London – and Field Day are running Winterville. It will be a pop-up town featuring a variety of drinking and eating options.

Among the food traders to have shops on offer at the event will be the Chin Chin Dessert Bar, SE Cakery, White Men Can’t Jerk, Up In My Grill, Love Churros, Pop Dogs and Rola Wala.

The organisers have indicated that there will be a total of 17 food stalls, in addition to 15 bars. There will also be activities such as Christmas movies in a Winter Night Garden cinema, roller disco, crazy golf and an ice skating rink. Winterville will open its doors to the public on November 23rd.

Businesses up and down the country may wish to use places offering corporate Christmas cards to give their employees and clients.
