New bar opens in Chesterfield

A new bar and restaurant has recently opened in Chesterfield, giving the town’s dining and nightlife sectors a boost.

Sorbo Lounge can be found at Market Place in Chesterfield, on the site that used to be home to the local post office, and the interior has undergone a refurbishment that cost £500,000 to complete. It is now a restaurant and bar with a retro theme that features benches, vintage sofas and a wide range of art on its walls.

The venue has been created to be somewhere that families can enjoy, offering a special menu for children, plus colouring books, pencils and games to keep them amused. It has also led to the creation of jobs for 25 people in the town.

There is also a notice board that can be used by the local community as a way of letting people know about upcoming events. Speaking to the Derbyshire Times, the operations manager Phil Kinsella stated that:

“We’re really looking forward to showing the locals how to lounge in style. The team are looking forward to becoming part of the community and will support local groups and initiatives wherever possible.”

When new venues open in the town, they always have the choice of using local printers that can supply promotional products to help raise awareness of the business to the community.
