The owners and staff of a hotel in Chesterfield had cause to crack open the champagne recently, after it won a top gong at an annual awards ceremony.

Ringwood Hall Hotel and Spa claimed the Conference and Banqueting Venue of the Year title at this year’s Chesterfield Food and Drink Awards. This comes in the wake of an investment of over £2 million during the previous year and a half, which has enabled the hotel to launch brand new facilities such as its Garden Secret Spa.

This opened during the summer and received a top-class rating from the Good Spa Guide. Hotels situated in the local area often make use of printers that create items like promotional pens, to help raise their profile in the community.

The awards evening was hosted by Lesley Waters, the celebrity chef, and the organiser was Destination Chesterfield. The hotel’s general manager Rona Davies attended the ceremony and she told a reporter from Incentive Travel and Corporate Meetings:

“We’ve always been customer-focused, but this year, receiving four stars and opening our new Garden Secret Spa, we’ve really pushed the boundaries. At our new spa, all our treatments are bespoke, and you won’t find some of them anywhere else in the country.”

The awards ceremony was attended by around 250 representatives from the local food and drink sector.
