TK Maxx signs long-term deal at Stockport retail park

UK fashion retailer TK Maxx has agreed a 10-year deal with a retail complex in Stockport that will see the company joining the likes of H&M, Matalan and New Look.

The store is currently located on Warren Street but is set to move to an 18,000 sq ft space at the Peel Centre in a bid to reach more customers and boost its sales. The company hopes to relocate all staff from the existing store to the new location.

Retail parks are known to drive sales due to the fact that people visit in a shopping mindset, as opposed to exhibiting wandering or browsing behaviour as is often seen on the high street.

One of the senior developers at the Peel Centre, Roger Wheeldon, spoke about the new deal, saying:

“Bringing a brand as strong as TK Maxx to The Peel Centre is fantastic news and they will add greatly to the parks existing strong fashion line up, we hope this large unit will allow them to increase on their existing business in Stockport.”

New or revamped fashion retailers often require refreshed promotional materials when launching a new-look store and print companies in Cheadle and Stockport will be on hand to help with POS printing when the time comes.

The Peel Centre is open every day from 8:30am until 11:00pm and is located off junction 27 of the M60, making it easily accessible by car. Details on parking and how to get to the centre by public transport can be found on its official website.
