Cat café opening in Cardiff

June 4, 2017 by

The very first cat café to open in Wales will be launching during the summer, and it is set to be a short bus journey away from the centre of Cardiff, much to the delight of local cat lovers.

The establishment will be called the Feline Good Cat Café, and it will be located not far from Cardiff’s Gabalfa roundabout, at Meridian Court. Those involved in the project are describing it as a place for those who love cats to meet and also as a kind of cat fostering facility.

It is set to offer visitors a haven where they can escape from the stresses of everyday life and enjoy cakes and tea, while stroking the rescue cats and kittens that will live at the café.

Hollie Bowler-Brown came up with the idea. She has previously worked in the retail and IT sectors and also has a lifelong love of animals. She set up a campaign on the crowdfunding site Indiegogo to help raise the money needed to make it a reality.

Prior to the launch in July, the cats are undergoing a process of home-based socialisation, which is designed to ensure that they are healthy and happy for the opening.

Facilities like this can always rely on local places that offer poster printing to help them when it comes to advertising.
