Cardiff to get new food market

A brand new indoor market dedicated to street food is all set to open in Cardiff later this month, and when it does it will be the first of its kind in the whole of Wales.

Sticky Fingers Street Food will be located in the building that used to be home to Chiquito, placing it within Cardiff’s Brewery Quarter. Once it launches, five different Welsh street food vendors, all of whom have won awards for their food, will take up residence at the venue between Thursday and Sunday each week.

Furthermore, there will not just be a huge range of street foods on offer there, as the market will contain bars for wine and cocktails as well, along with a main bar. Bars and stalls often make use of poster printing for promotions and that might be the case again here.

Cardiff-born Matt Connolly is the man who came up with the idea for the market and he told Wales Online that it was time to shake up traditional ideas when it comes to eating out, adding:

“This is a new way of eating – it’s a cheaper and fun way of going out. This is an opportunity to get five of the best street food chefs in Cardiff, who are all award-winning, to showcase their talents.”

The market will be opening its doors to the public on October 27.
