Cardiff to host Peaky Blinders event

Peaky Blinders has become a genuine British television phenomenon over the past few years, and now an event dedicated to the show is set to come to Cardiff.

It is being described as an immersive attraction based on the television show, which deals with the lives of a group of gangsters living in Birmingham during the 1920s. The Depot will be serving as the venue for the event and the man behind it is promising those who go along a night they won’t forget.

The owner of The Depot, Nick Saunders, is organising it and he told Wales Online that he may extend the planned three-day event if it proves popular. The intention is to try to capture the show’s mood and look as closely as possible.

Saunders went on to say that the event would see the audience and performers – which will include professional actors – being blurred, to make it interactive. Called ‘By Order Of’, it will take place in March and April. Saunders added:

“This is the first event that we’ve done that is strictly themed, which means that anyone who buys a ticket must come dressed in appropriate attire…so grab your pocket watch and flat cap – by order of the Peaky Blinders!”

Leaflet printing is often used by event organisers to help them advertise it to the local community.
