Birmingham set to host prosecco festival

A festival dedicated to prosecco will hit Birmingham later this month, and will be the first event dedicated to the popular sparkling wine to hit the UK.

The event, known as Prosecco Festival, will showcase over 40 different varieties for visitors to try. Birmingham is the second stop of the tour, after visiting Oxford in the opening weekend of February. More than 30 cities and towns in the UK will be visited throughout the year. Prosecco Festival will be stopping in Birmingham for a two-day period.

The venue will be Birmingham Town Hall, situated in Victoria Square, and there will be sessions available during the afternoon and at night. The primary hall will be offering everything from prosecco cocktails to pink fizz, via drinks stations.

There will also be Italian beer, Peroni, for those who are not keen on prosecco. Street food from Italy will also be available as a compliment to the drinks – as well as live music. Speaking to the Birmingham Mail, the organisers stated:

“Birmingham is really well known for loving its fizz…so we’re all particularly excited for this event. It’s bound to be a sell-out so get those tickets early, the majority of our other venues have already sold out.”

It takes place on February 9th and 10th and events like this often use promotional drinkware to help spread the word.
