Bath Festival of Children’s Literature running until 2nd October

The annual Bath Children’s Literature Festival opens in the city on 23rd September and has a vibrant programme of events designed to get kids reading that runs until 2nd October.

The festival is now in its fifth year, after opening back in 2007 and this year’s festival boasts up to 80 events designed to get children excited about reading. The festival is produced in conjunction with The Daily Telegraph newspaper and runs across several venues throughout Bath, including the Mission Theatre, Guildhall and Bath Central Library.

Children and carers who are interested in attending any of the festival events can find out more information on the festival website: There is a downloadable brochure available on the site, but paper copies of the brochure can also be obtained by contacting the Bath Box Office directly. Whilst online brochures are useful, it is often handy to have a paper copy of an events timetable to hand, which is why both formats are available. Both have their uses, whether produced by web designers or brochure printers.

Bath Children’s Literature Festival features a number of children’s authors who will be giving readings and hosting interactive sessions and there is even a Peter Rabbit puppet show. Some of the more famous names who will be hosting sessions at the festival are children’s writers Roddy Doyle and Jacqueline Wilson.

With something for children of all ages, this year’s Bath Children’s Literature Festival is sure to be a huge success.
