Sitcom stars to attend Ayr festival

Preparations are now underway for one of the most popular annual events in Ayr, and already two genuine Scottish comedy stars have confirmed that they will be part of it.

Tamfest is a local festival that is held at Halloween each year and the 2017 event will feature appearances by Mark Cox and Jane McCarry. These names may not immediately ring a bell for many, but that is because they are more famous as their characters Tam and Isa – in the hit comedy series Still Game.

Furthermore, they are not the only stars that are set to play Tamfest 2017, with Emily Middlemas – the young singer who reached the finals of The X Factor – also lined up. She previously performed during the Scottish Grand National Festival.

Traditional Scottish act Drums N Roses will also be appearing, as they are scheduled to play the main stage during the Sunday. Speaking to the Daily Record, festival organisers stated that:

β€œIt is an honour for us to have one of our headline performers Jane McCarry and Mark Cox who are none other than Isa and Tam from Still Game. Without a doubt, they will be one of the highlights of the festival.”

Festivals like this often make use of leaflet printing to help them ensure local people know when and where they are taking place.
