Nightclub in Ayr up for award

One of Ayr’s most popular nightclubs is in the running to pick up a top national award.

Furys is one of the venues on the shortlist for this year’s Scottish Hospitality Awards, in the best nightclub section. The club, which is situated on Nile Court, will be going up against nine other Scottish venues in a bid to win the prize, but most of the other contenders are big clubs in cities such as Edinburgh and Glasgow.

These awards are a prestige affair, so winning would be a significant coup for Furys. The club opens its doors to fun lovers in Ayr between Wednesday and Sunday each week and is the busiest club in the town.

It is the second time in the last couple of years that it has received an award nomination and, according to the Daily Record, Steven Muir – its manager – stated that he was thrilled to be in contention, adding:

“It just highlights the hard work that we churn out and it’s great to be recognised. Getting put forward for this award just shows how good all the staff are, from those behind the bar, to the DJs, to the cleaners and everyone in between.”

The winner will be announced on 29th May. Printing services in the local area could be used to promote any company and any updates they wish to present to the community.
