Awards win for Ayr attraction

Popular local attraction, Heads of Ayr Farm Park, has been given reason to celebrate following the announcement that it was the recipient of a big prize at a prestigious awards ceremony.

The organisation was given the award for ‘Best Visitor Attraction’ for the west of Scotland at this year’s Scottish Thistle Awards. The digital and sustainability improvements, as well as the range of products it has to offer visitors, made a positive impression on the panel of judges.

This panel features top industry figures from a number of organisations, such as Wild Scotland, the Scottish Licensed Trade Association, Scottish Tourism Alliance, Scotland Food and Drink, Hospitality Industry Trust Scotland and VisitScotland.

In addition to the award itself, the win that the farm enjoyed at this ceremony ensures that it will go into the National Final, which takes place next year. Speaking to the Ayr Advertiser, a director from the farm, Greg Rankin, said:

“We are proud to offer visitors of all ages, from newborns to great-grandparents, a day out full of fun, adventure, and exciting animals. We are truly honoured to have won this award and will continue to strive for excellence.”

Visitor attractions of this kind often use printers in Ayr that can provide postcard printing, so that they can stock them as souvenirs in their gift shops.
