Children’s play hub opening in Altrincham

A special centre for children’s play is about to open in Altrincham.

The new children’s hub will be about 7,500 square feet in extent. A feature of the Altrincham-based facility will be a licensed restaurant. The Treehouse will incorporate a big slide, disco rooms, party rooms and a space for sport. It will be located on George Street and it will change that part of the town centre.

The enterprise should create more than 30 jobs. It is thought that the work may be completed in the next few weeks and the venue will then be ready to welcome the public. Poster printing from Altrincham can be used to brighten up events. Samah Abadi is one of the partners behind the venture. Abadi explained the rationale behind the business idea to Altrincham Today:

“We want to create a haven for children and adults alike, but actually more than that, we want to create a community hub.”

Abadi researched genetics at the University of Manchester. Her entrepreneurial instincts are sharp and she understood that there might be a gap in the market. Her experience of attending play centres as a parent was dispiriting and she reasoned that a really imaginative approach could be profitable.

One innovation will be a weekend pyjama club. Parents will be empowered to socialise on Friday and Saturday night while their children watch movies in a suitable environment.
