Artists sought for Burns exhibition in Ayr

An exhibition of artwork dedicated to the national poet of Scotland is set to be held in Ayr during the spring, and organisers are now asking local artists to create pieces for it.

This exhibition will be called ‘Burns Squared 2’ and will be focused on the life and work of Robert Burns. The Robert Burns Museum, which is situated in the Alloway suburb of Ayr, will serve as the venue for the display and all artists based in the area over the age of 18 are being invited to produce a piece of work in the shape of a square for it.

All of the work that is created will be on show within the building’s Temporary Exhibition Space for the two months that the exhibition runs. All of the artworks have to measure 25cm x 25cm, while featuring options for hanging using rings. Museums and galleries frequently turn to places that can offer them banner printing to promote their exhibitions.

Those who are interested in producing work for the show can find the registration form, as well as all terms and conditions, on the museum’s website, in its ‘What’s On’ section. All work being created for it has to be submitted by 4pm on February 16th to be eligible for inclusion.

The exhibition is scheduled to run throughout March and April of this year.
