Redditch Bake Off begins

November 11, 2018 by

The Redditch Bake Off was recently launched by the local mayor.

Redditch’s event is based on the hit television show, the Great British Bake Off. The idea behind the scheme is to raise money for charity. Print shops can be useful for providing materials for fundraising efforts.

The Mayor of Redditch is organising the baking showcase. Juliet Brunner, who is a representative for Redditch Borough Council, told the Redditch Standard:

“The search is on to find the 2018 star baker of Redditch. From rough puffs and crème pats to fluffy sponges and chewy meringues, the oven glove has been thrown down!”

While brilliant bakers will be eager to get involved, everyone will be made welcome on the day. It is possible for treats to be obtained through the sale of cakes. This sale will take place when the serious business of judging is completed.

It has been decided that the Town Hall is an appropriate venue for this local celebration of baking. The event proper kicks off in the morning of Friday 16th November.

Entrants do not have a great deal of time to register their desire to participate in the event. Councillor Brunner wants bakers of ambition to step up to the plate quickly. The compelling format has the potential to raise money for good causes. All the proceeds raised through the event will go to charities that are supported by Councillor Brunner.
