The Business South Local Produce Show is set to be held in Southampton in January.

Southampton Football Club will enable the show to take place at its home on Britannia Road in late January. Promotional products can be helpful at events of all types. Hampshire Fare is one of the sponsors of the event and Tracy Nash, Hampshire Fare’s commercial manager, told the Southern Daily Echo:

“This unique event brings together the region’s high-quality food and drink producers with food and drink industry buyers, chefs, caterers and procurement teams. The Local Produce Show always has a fantastic atmosphere with real connections being made on the day.”

Nash is clear that buyers and suppliers can profit from the get-together. She thinks that the meeting is of regional economic significance.

In the past, buyers such as the University of Southampton, Carnival UK and Hampshire County Council have attended the show. This has enabled people with fresh local ingredients to make progress.

Provenance can be of real importance in shaping corporate decision-making. Cheeses produced by Lyburn Farmhouse Cheese and trout provided by Chalk Stream Foods have been eaten on cruise ships because of the show.

Kevan Hodges, the director responsible for food and drink at Carnival UK, wants to obtain high quality ingredients. However, he is also concerned about the consistency of specific products.
