New opticians open within Romford

A Vision Express on Gallows Corner recently opened in Romford.

The branch of Vision Express is working near a supermarket. Letterheads from Romford can be useful for businesses which open up in the area. Jonathan Lawson is the chief executive at Vision Express and he told the Romford Recorder:

“We’re delighted to welcome new team members to the company and provide a seamless eye health service to former Tesco optical customers.”

The hope is that a modern environment will make customers feel relaxed. The logo has been refreshed and vibrant colours have been employed to help give people a positive experience.

An ambassador at the Childhood Eye Cancer Trust (CHECT) helped out at the opening ceremony. Kitty Woodstock is only five and was first affected by an aggressive type of eye cancer when she was a baby. Early diagnosis was crucial in helping her to survive. After attending the Royal London Hospital, she had to have an eye taken out.

Vision Express has worked closely with CHECT for eight years and the firm is keen to make swift referrals when a problem is diagnosed.

Ann Lince is the manager at the Romford outlet. She pointed out that eye tests are not compulsory in schools these days. This means that parents need to understand about the value of eye examinations. Children should have regular appointments to nip any problems in the bud.
