An upcoming festival within Poole will include folk music and sea shanties.

The Coastliners Festival is going to be held in the old town and maritime music will feature prominently in the schedule. Flyer printing from Poole can be used to promote a variety of events. Music fans will be able to get hold of appropriate refreshments at a market in Scaplen’s Court.

Regional shanty bands are ready to do their stuff. Audiences shall be able to hear the Portsmouth Shanty Men, the Navy Larks and the Tavy Tars. Boathook Bald, a poet of the sea, is on the list of the performers.

Adults who attend the festival will have abundant opportunities to participate in the fun. The history of sea shanties shall be one focus of discussion. Meanwhile, people who visit a special workshop will learn how to sing sea shanties properly.

The needs of children will also be addressed. Storytelling is going to keep the youngsters entertained. In addition, craft workshops shall teach new skills to those who get involved. A heritage project is behind this exciting initiative.

The festival has been put together by students from a university in Bournemouth. These individuals have plenty of expertise because they have been studying Creative Arts Management.

This will be the first year in which the festival takes place. The aspiration of the students is that the occasion should become an annual cultural happening.
