The progress of housebuilding company Lovell in the King’s Lynn area has been boosted by the relationship between the firm and the council.

Lovell employs around 120 workers within East Anglia. Simon Medler, a regional manager at Lovell, told the Eastern Daily Press:

“The outlook for 2018 is highly encouraging as we continue to build urgently needed homes across the region. Our regional forward order book currently stands at £161m with the company set to complete 484 homes this year in East Anglia.”

Lovell is part of the Morgan Sindall Group (MSG). Morgan Sindall is part of this entity and it focuses on the delivery of infrastructure. The firm currently employs about 170 workers and has been prospering in East Anglia.

Last year, Morgan Sindall built a building within Old Buckenham. This contract was worth over £10 million and doubled the site capacity for the Chapel Green SEN School. This year, Morgan Sindall has a £16 million contract and the work involves the construction of an agency in marine science.

The MSG has all the necessary experience to deliver major projects in the region. It was behind the recent construction of a science hub at Cambridge’s Anglia Ruskin University.

Print shops in King’s Lynn may get extra business if the construction industry continues to thrive.
